Hi, we’re DJ and Sarah — and we’re the founders of Boatmere Barn.

Boatmere Barn has been part of our family for 38 years, sitting right in the middle of a working farmyard. It’s a rustic, character-filled place that’s been lovingly cared for by Anthony and Sally Campling, who lived here for decades and made it what it is today. In 2024, we got married here ourselves — the best day of our lives — and that’s when it hit us: this barn has so much more potential than just being part of the farm. It’s a space that deserves to be shared.

So, we decided to give it a go. With Sarah now taking the reins more full-time, our vision is to turn Boatmere Barn into a place where unforgettable memories are made. Weddings, parties, and workshops are just the start — we also want to welcome artists, makers, and professionals to host events here. It’s about creating a space where creativity and celebration come together, surrounded by the charm of the countryside.

And while we may be steering the ship now, Anthony and Sally are still very much on board. If you see something made of wood at Boatmere Barn, Anthony has almost certainly built it (he can’t resist). If it’s stitched or sewn, that’s Sally’s handiwork — and she’s also our proud “chief health and safety officer and head worrier,” making sure nothing slips through the cracks (and keeping us on our toes).

Together, we’ve blended old roots with new energy. Boatmere Barn isn’t just our home — it’s our passion, and we’d love to share it with you. Whether you’re planning your wedding, hosting a workshop, or gathering friends and family for a special celebration, our motto says it all:
