Hi, we're DJ and Sarah — and Boatmere Barn has been part of our family for 38 years.

What started as a working farm in the South Lincolnshire countryside has slowly, lovingly, been transformed into something altogether different: a venue where weddings are celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and memories are made. It's a place that's been shaped by decades of family life, and we think that shows in every corner of it.

 

Our Story

The barn itself has been here for as long as we can remember, cared for by Anthony and Sally Campling — the heart and soul of this farm for many years. When we got married here in 2024 — the best day of our lives — something clicked. We looked around at the exposed brick, the wooden beams, the lawn with its flower-filled borders, and thought: this place is too special to keep to ourselves.

So we decided to share it.

Sarah now leads the day-to-day running of Boatmere Barn, with a real passion for making every event — from a wreath-making workshop to a full wedding weekend — feel warm, personal, and genuinely well looked after. DJ is never far away, and together we're building something we're incredibly proud of.

 

The Whole Family

And while we may be steering the ship, Anthony and Sally haven't gone far. If you spot something beautifully crafted from wood at Boatmere Barn, Anthony almost certainly made it. If it's stitched or sewn, that's Sally's handiwork — and as our self-appointed head of health and safety, she keeps us all on our toes (in the very best way).

Together, we've blended old roots with new energy. Boatmere Barn isn't just a venue — it's our home, and we treat every couple and every guest as if they're part of it.
